Ray Bradbury's 1953 novel Fahrenheit 451 is set in a dystopian society that burns books in order to control dangerous ideas and unhappy concepts. The novel tells the story of Guy Montag, a fireman who questions the book-burning policy and undergoes extraordinary suffering and transformation as a result. The central theme of Fahrenheit 451 is the conflict between freedom of thought and censorship. The society that Bradbury depicts has voluntarily given up books and reading, and by and large, the people do not feel oppressed or censored. I really recommend this book because of the message it provides and the plot it reads.

When Tom Robinson, one of the town's Black residents, is falsely accused of raping Mayella Ewell, a white woman, Atticus agrees to defend him despite threats from the community. At one point he faces a mob intent on lynching his client but refuses to abandon him. This book was very well written and a person can clearly learn a lot from all the characters in the book

The Crucible is a really old play by Arthur Miller about the Salem Witch Trials. In this play, there a lot of ups and downs in emotion. The story started as a simple accusation by a girl named Abigail. As the book progresses into 4 Acts, the lie is then shown through every person in the town. The book as taught me a lot about human nature. You would also understand this if you read the book yourself. But, I would recommend this book for people who are interested in tragedy and drama. I also love it for its variety of words and language.

The question of how humans have evolved is looked at in great detail. David Vale and Dr. Kate Warner race to save the world from genocide. Vale is an intelligence agent, and Dr. Warner is a geneticist. Together they must discover why two autistic children, whom Dr. Warner has been treating, have been kidnapped and why Vale’s intelligence agency is being taken over by outside sources. They discover that a group called the Immari, who have been around for two thousand years, is attempting to isolate a gene called the Atlantis Gene. They believe this gene is the next step in human evolution. They have taken the two children because Dr. Warner has discovered how to activate this gene and the Immari want to know how. They need to know because an advanced race, the Atlanteans, are lying dormant under the ice of Antarctica and the Immari believe they are a threat to the human race. Vale and Dr. Warner try to stop the genocide of not only the Atlanteans by the Immari, but also the killing of weaker members of the human race whom they attempt to sacrifice to advance their research in finding the Atlantis gene. Vale and Dr. Warner believe that the Atlanteans saved the human race from annihilation 70,000 years before, so they are not a threat to humans. Vale and Dr. Warner travel the world to piece together the plans of the Immari and try to unravel the elaborate plan they have to protect the human race. Together they must fight an ancient evil that has taken part in acts of terror throughout history, including the Nazi regime and the 9/11 attacks. The organization stops at nothing to forward their cause. The two must piece together the mystery of the origins of the human race and race against time to stop a power organization with unlimited resources as they attempt to force the next stage of human evolution at any cost –even killing most of the world’s population.

Tris Prior lives in a futuristic world in which society is divided into five factions. As each person enters adulthood, he or she must choose a faction and commit to it for life. Tris chooses Dauntless -- those who pursue bravery above all else. However, her initiation leads to the discovery that she is a Divergent(which means that she will never be able to fit into just one faction.) Warned that she must conceal her status, Tris uncovers a looming war which threatens everyone she loves. The book was written very well. I recommend it for everyone.

Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji - you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves - or they'll be stuck in the game forever. The movie is great and I would recommend it for families and teens interested in drama, adventure and thriller.

In 1938, young orphan Liesel arrives at a new home with her new foster parents, Hans and Rosa. When Hans, a kind and humble house painter, learns that Liesel cannot read or write so he teaches Liesel the wonders of the written language - English. Liesel grows to love books, even rescuing one from a Nazi bonfire. Though Liesel's new family may barely scrape by in money, their situation becomes even more precarious when they secretly shelter a Jewish boy whose father once saved Hans' life. The danger and excitement continues as you read on about Liesel's journey. The book is amazing and it shows me how a person living in that era would survive by barely scraping by. I have really enjoyed the book and would recommend it for all age groups.

Quentin is having an adventurous day with the most popular student in high school and a best friend named Margo. However, the next day, Margo is nowhere to be found. With help from a few friends and some advanced clues that she left behind, Quentin embarks on a mission to find the girl who he thought was his only friend so he could feel whole again. Paper Towns by John Green is an adventurous and great book to read. It has a lot of comedy and sad parts, especially towards the end. I would recommend this book for kids from the age of 13 - 18. I think I would rate this book a 3.5/5.

11-year old Alex Petroski loves space and rockets. He lives with his mom, his brother, and his dog Carl Sagan(named after his hero) He always wanted to launch his golden iPod into space the way Carl Sagan (his hero)launched his Golden Record on the Voyager spacecraft in 1977. He traveled from Colorado to New Mexico, Las Vegas to Los Angeles, and recorded his journey on his iPod to show other extraterrestrial life how life on Earth is like. He meets remarkable people who can only partially prepare him for the secrets he’ll uncover about his lost dad during his search. The story is very funny and gets more suspenseful the deeper you get into the book. I would give the book a nine out of ten because the author got my emotions to be a part of the story. I really recommend this book for kids between 10 - 14 year olds and who love comedy books.

Tristan’s family was always living in New York City, but all that was about to change. His dad announces that they are moving to a sequestered house on a hill on the outskirts of Petersville in upstate New York. His baby sister Zoe is frightened and confused. Jeanine is a math genius in gifted and talented classes and is appalled and worried about her educational future. Because they won’t be starting school for several months, their parents tell Jeanine and Tristan they must complete a project of their own. Jeanine selects a complicated scientific and mathematical study that allows her to remain not involved with people. Tristan, who loves to cook, like his chef mom, decides to start a business making and selling the supposedly mind-blowing chocolate-cream doughnuts once famous in Petersville but now no longer made. Tristan's adventure awaits as you are about to be apart of his exciting and adventurous story. The story has some kind of a thrill and excitement to it from the beginning. The story is very funny and has dry humor in it. I really recommend this book for kids between the ages of 9-15 year old kids and hope you enjoy this book as much as I did
