This story is about Danny Chang, who is an artist. He has always known his parents being very secretive and always hiding secrets. But one day, he finds a box in his father's closet filled with a bunch of old papers and files. He didn't pay too much attention to the box, but later on, it has changed the way he looks at his family and friends. After this, he realizes there is so much more to his family's past than he can ever imagine.

The book Gone starts out with a group of kids in their history class. A second later, everyone's gone. Everyone but teens, middle schoolers, toddlers. Not a single adult, anywhere. No teachers, no cops, no parents, no one above the age of 15. The phones, the internet, and television, all gone. There is no way to get help. Teens themselves are changing, developing new talents - dangerous, deadly powers, that grow stronger by the day. It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen and war is predictable. I recommend for middle school kids or anyone who like's adventure.
